Based in New York City, Eileen O’Connell is an artist whose journey began in her childhood home in Massachusetts, where the paintings of her Irish grandmother first sparked her passion for art.

Eileen pursued her creative path at Syracuse University, earning a BFA and receiving the Student Scholarship Award from the Society of Illustrators. She later applied her artistic talents as a Creative Director in product development while continuing to refine her fine art skills through workshops at institutions such as The Art Students League of New York.

Today, Eileen balances a successful corporate career with her love of drawing and oil painting. She is inspired by the challenge of capturing the likeness and essence of a person or moment in time through careful observation of shape and color.

In Fall 2023, Eileen participated in the Copyist Program at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she could often be found painting in The American Wing.
